This is my favorite day and night of the year. Nothing beats Christmas Eve.

Not any other holiday, not my birthday and not even Christmas Day.

Dec. 24 is the best day of the year.

That's my opinion.

I've tried to analyze my feelings about Christmas Eve, but I can't figure it out.

I suppose that anticipation is part of my attraction to this day.

And I suspect it also has something to do with most Christmas preparations are completed.

Somehow it all fits together and Dec. 24 comes out on top of my list of favorites.

When I was a kid (in the days before VCRs and battles with Iraq) Santa Claus always came on Christmas Eve. Maybe that's another reason why I'm so stuck on the night before ...
