"Seventy-five Years of Caring" was celebrated by 272 members of the Joliet Area Council of PTAs recently at T and C Grand in Shorewood. In recognition of their 75th anniversary, State Rep. Jack McGuire, D-Joliet, presented a resolution in the Illinois House to honor Joliet Area Council of PTAs.

Attending the celebration were Illinois PTA State Board members Anna Weselak, president; Gayle Guzik, council chairman; Linda Schoonmaker, community outreach chairman; Jean Razunas, state membership chairman; and Sonja Kapusniak, District 22 director.

Also attending were principals, presidents, and members of 14 member units from Bolingbrook, Joliet, Lockport, Plainfield and Romeoville.
