LOCKPORT -- It will be a little difficult, but Santa Claus just might bring a puppy for 8-year-old Katie Ptaszek of Mokena this year.
Katie told the Jolly Old Elf about her Christmas wish at Lockport's 10th Annual Christmas Walk and Fun Fair on Saturday.
Though the weather was more spring-like than late fall, adults and youngsters came out to kick off the holiday season in style.
Santa met with children of all ages at the Gladys Fox Museum.
"The best part about Christmas is the children," Santa said.
"The big toy this year is anything Pokemon, and I'm having trouble stocking all the Pokemon stuff.
The elves are working extra hard to make sure we have enough."
