AURORA -- The Pocus building at 100 S. River St. stood as a home to fine automobiles for more than a half century -- until 1996, when the last Mercedes-Benz was driven off the showroom floor.
Now the downtown building is set to reopen on New Year's Eve as a showcase for classic cars from the estate of Lord Peter Palumbo and aircraft from the Air Classics Museum.
Spokesmen for the two entities announced Friday their intention to open the Ageless Classics transportation museum.
They have signed a two-year lease with an option to buy the building at River and Benton streets.
