BATAVIA -- Temporary stop signs might become traffic signals in the near future, according to Police Chief Dennis Anderson.
Temporary signs were installed at Wilson Street and Raddant Road earlier this month when Kirk Road was closed for several days.
Anderson said the stop signs helped regulate the additional traffic generated by drivers detouring Kirk Road. The signs allowed Raddant Road traffic safe entry onto Wilson street.
Anderson said the location meets all the state requirements for signs.
He said there have not been any traffic problems on either street since the signs were installed.
