Wine has been rhapsodized by poets, composers, writers and political leaders throughout the ages.
The current wine boom started in the '70s with the production of better wines from California and the promotion of them by several top chefs.
Luckily for us, wine has become very popular at restaurants today, with some wine bars offering 100 or more selections by the glass.
In the wine classes I teach at College of DuPage and at my wine dinners, I stress that wine is subjective.
You should taste various wines with different foods and then trust your own palate.
