ELGIN -- From buying a headstone for the grave of Brittany Martinez to simply giving money to her family, there are several choices for those who want to make a donation in the memory of the slain 11-year-old girl.
At least four memorial accounts have been created to help the family of the girl who disappeared May 8 from in front of her Elgin home.
Brittany's body was found nine days later in the Kishwaukee River in rural McHenry County.
Donating to one of the memorial funds can be as easy as dropping some change in a jar at a fast food restaurant or handing over a few bucks at a nearby bank.
