Article: CITY COUNCIL: TRUCK TRAFFIC HALTED ON SECTION OF MOLITOR ROAD

AURORA -- Truck traffic, sometimes responsible for cracking windows and rattling walls in homes along Molitor Road east of Farnsworth Avenue, soon might be prohibited. The City Council's Government Operations Committee voted 3-0 Tuesday to post "no truck traffic" signs along Molitor between Farnsworth and the White Oak Business Park, the source of the truck traffic along the two-lane road.

The City Council must approve the measure before any signs can be posted, though.

The decision supports action by Aurora Township to ban truck traffic on its section of Molitor, which is surrounded by the city's portion of the road to the east and west.
