AURORA -- Erik Kramer is doing his best to maintain a smile these days. Ironically, he's been drawing criticism for it as well.
Trying to put a happy face on an 0-4 football team is difficult enough. What's worse is that Kramer, who began the season as the Chicago Bears' starting quarterback, has been relegated to second string.
And if that wasn't enough, the Bears are so bad that they've become the frontrunner for the top pick in next year's draft: quarterback Peyton Manning.
"It's a situation I didn't foresee," Kramer said Tuesday night as the featured guest of The Beacon News Celebrity Sports Club at Long Island Sound.
