Article: EAST BILINGUAL STUDENTS PERFORMING AT NATIONAL LEVELS

AURORA -- Recent tests show bilingual students in the East Aurora School District are in line with national standards. Two tests were given to measure the proficiency of students in transitional bilingual education classes.

East's bilingual students performed at or above average levels in an Iowa Test of Basic Skills-equivalent test, given in Spanish, called La Prueba. La Prueba, given to students in grades one through 12, assessed basic academic skills in Spanish.
