People who fear snakes wish there weren't a good season for snakes.

The fear of snakes is known by no less than four terms -- ophidiophobia, ophiophobia, ophiciophobia and herpetophobia.

The phenomenon of the fear of snakes is a very real one.

The sight of a crawling snake engenders panic in some people, resulting in a state of physical rigidity and morbidity complicated by emotions and stress.
