The Korean War Veterans National Museum and Library will be built in Tuscola, which is 20 miles south of Champaign at I-57 and Route 36. The seven-gallery museum building, a multimillion-dollar project will cover in excess of 133,000 square feet.
Completion target date is June 2000, to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the start of the Korean War on June 24, 1950.
The museum will pay tribute to all who served during the Korean War, especially those who were wounded and those who made the eternal sacrifice.
