It's often difficult to plot the sales success of a new home community to any one factor.
But Diana Houston, general sales manager for Hoffman Estates-based Lakewood Homes, knows exactly why its Lakewood on Caton Farm community has sold so well ... location.
"Being bordered on two sides by custom home communities and on a third by a wooded area puts Caton Farm in great company," she said.
To date, Lakewood has sold 90 of the 184 Village Homes and 76 of the 192 single-family homes at Caton Farm since opening for sales in March of 1997. Houston added that the builder's reputation has plenty to do with its success.
