Article: POLICE CHARGE DOZEN WITH PUBLIC INDECENCY

MONTGOMERY -- A dozen area men face public indecency charges after their recent arrests in Jericho Lake Park. Citizen complaints prompted an undercover investigation by the Montgomery police, who arrested the men in late August and early September, a spokesman for the department said.

Police said that undercover officers arrested the men after seeing them perform sexual acts, some of which involved another person, Sgt. Dan Meyers said.

Public indecency is a misdemeanor punishable by as much as $2,500 in fines and a year in jail, he said.

The investigation, which continues, involved Montgomery and Fox Valley Park District police and the Kane County state's attorney's office.
