Applications for the F. Ward Just Foundation scholarship, awarded annually to a Lake County high school graduate intending to establish a college major in journalism or media communications, are now available.
The renewable award is $4,000 per year of undergraduate study, a total package of $16,000 providing the student maintains a solid academic standard.
Applicants must finish in the upper 50 percent of their graduating class and demonstrate financial need.
Promise, character, work ethic and academic achievement also rank high with the Scholarship Selection Committee.
