WAUKEGAN -- There is something about 403 N. Lewis Ave. that makes it a good place for a lemonade stand, whether it's 1935 or the year 2000.
In an old newspaper photo of local kids manning a lemonade stand, Marijo Tidy is 11. This summer, 10 of her 15 grandchildren assembled for another patriotic lemonade stand in front of the same home, now owned by the youngest of her six children, Bridget Burke Morrill.
"We thought this would be kind of neat to re-create with the same family," said 4th Ward Ald. Ray Vukovich, who is married to another daughter, Patricia Burke Vukovich.
The house has been in the family now for 65 years.
