Lake County's rape crisis center is starting to receive calls from women who say they were drugged and then assaulted.
LaCASA, Lake County Council Against Sexual Abuse, participated in a seminar on date-rape drugs at the College of Lake County in Grayslake Thursday.
"Just today we received a call from a woman who was the victim of a date-rape drug," said Lynn Nash, coordinator of advocacy services for LaCASA.
"We are seeing one or two cases every month or two months.
We had one case go through the emergency room this month."
LaCASA may hear from more victims than even police because many women don't remember an attack until later.
Amnesia is a side effect of the drugs.
