Article: MUSEUM GETS $100,000 STATE GRANT | NEW EXHIBIT: POSTCARD COLLECTION BENEFICIARY

The Lake County Museum has received a $100,000 boost from the state to build a new exhibit for its renowned postcard collection. The 2,000-square-foot exhibit, which will showcase the Curt Teich Postcard Archives is expected to draw more visitors to the museum at the Lakewood Forest Preserve near Wauconda, thereby promoting tourism.

The grant is one of the 15 totaling $559,000 announced by Gov. George Ryan to develop local tourism attractions.
