DUPAGE CHILDREN'S CENTER TO RECEIVE $850,000 GRANT The DuPage County Children's Advocacy Center will receive an $850,000 federal grant thanks to the efforts of U.S. Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert's office, county officials said. DuPage County Board Chairman Robert J. Schillerstrom and Joseph E. Birkett, DuPage County state's attorney, jointly announced last month that the county was awarded $850,000 in federal grant money to investigate, prosecute and provide services to the victims of child abuse.

The funds will allow the center to expand its current staff.
