The DuPage Township Board has instituted several changes in procedures at the banquet hall housed at the Joseph and Sarah Levy Senior Center in Bolingbrook to ensure smooth operations at the facility that has been embroiled in controversy.
Since last year, the DuPage Township banquet hall has been under investigation by local and state agencies due to discrepancies in reports issued by the former banquet hall coordinator, who was fired last March. The current board, elected on April 1, has taken steps to turn the tables there.
First and foremost, township officials have taken action to prevent future problems with banquet hall reporting by implementing a separate "Levy Center Rental Fund" ...
