Article: QUINTANILLA'S SENTENCING HEARING TO RESUME NEXT WEEK

Childhood friends and relatives of Gerardo Quintanilla describe the convicted killer as a family man who deserves another chance at life. Quintanilla, 21, who went to Waubonsie Valley High School, faces 20 to 60 years in prison for the murder of 39-year-old Vicki Ososky of Boulder Hill outside an Aurora bar in 1995.

In earlier testimony presented by witnesses for the prosecution, Quintanilla was described as a bully frequently involved in fights.

But during a sentencing hearing Wednesday at the Kane County Judicial Center, Dolores Rodriguez, a cousin of Quintanilla, brought many of his family and friends to tears with her testimony.
