Two contrasting offensive styles battled Friday in Cary as the playoff-bound Trojans of Cary-Grove (7-2) used their ground game to defeat the aerial attack of Woodstock (4-5) 42-28. After recovering a fumble on the Trojan 46, the Blue Streaks struck first. Sophomore quarterback Justin Duhai (15-of-38, 257 yards) hit senior flanker Matt Polnow over the middle for a 34-yard touchdown with four minutes, six seconds remaining in the first quarter, giving the Blue Streaks an early 6-0 lead.

"We had nothing to lose," Woodstock coach Ed Brucker said.
