It is no secret that exercise can greatly affect one's health.
The benefits of exercise are touted everyday for combating disease, weight gain and lack of energy.
It should be no surprise that exercise can greatly benefit individuals living with diabetes, of which there are more than 15 million Americans.
Q: Why is exercise important for people living with diabetes?
A: Diabetes affects the way the body uses and controls sugar (glucose) in the bloodstream.
For the body to use glucose properly, insulin must be present.
