NONPHYSICIAN TO HEAD HEALTH DEPARTMENT The new executive director of the DuPage County Health Department will be the first nonphysician to head the department. As of Monday, Leland Lewis, who served as the department's chief administrative officer for more than five years, will head the $40 million department.

Lewis, a 20-year resident of the county, has more than 30 years of business and management experience and is a graduate of the Illinois Public Health Leadership Institute.
