Tibetan Buddhist monks will come to Sugar Grove to promote world peace through music and spiritual artwork.
At a time when the country needs healing, Waubonsee Community College welcomes a group of Tibetan Buddhist monks to the Sugar Grove campus to create a mandala sand painting.
The monks from the Drepung Loseling Monastery are on tour in the United States to promote world peace through their music and spiritual artwork.
Margaret Plaskas, Cultural Programs coordinator at the college, said the tour is endorsed by the Dalai Lama as a means of promoting peace.
