When people hear the words "humane society," they usually think of the hundreds of homeless animals waiting to find new homes.
But there is more to a humane society than just sheltering cats and dogs.
Officials at the Naperville Humane Society, which works to protect animals and prevent animal cruelty, have created several programs to help accomplish these goals.
