Casey's General Stores said Friday it will limit store managers' freedom to set gas prices for the near future.
The move by the Iowa-based company comes in the aftermath of price hikes Tuesday immediately after the terrorist attacks on the East Coast.
Illinois Attorney General James Ryan has filed a civil lawsuit against Casey's accusing the company of price-gouging at about 20 Illinois stations, where prices reached as high as $5 a gallon.
Midwest Generation talks: No progress
Midwest Generation and Local 15 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers broke off talks Friday and will not meet again until Thursday.
