HUNTLEY -- Residents of Sun City Huntley by Del Webb have been allowed to drive their golf carts not only on the course, but to and from homes and recreational facilities. The village board this week expanded the use of the carts to include Regency Square, a 200-acre commercial development along Illinois 47 north of Sun City.

The ordinance approved unanimously by the village board allows golf cart use in Regency Square, which is home to Del Webb's administration building and Citizens First National Bank. The bank has posted four signs for golf cart parking and allows golf cart drivers to use the drive-up windows for conducting banking business.
