About three years ago, Cornelia Burt of New York took her grandchildren to Disney World.
Then 54, she felt a burning in her chest and found herself often out of breath.
This was not the first time Burt, who has high blood pressure, is slightly overweight and doesn't regularly exercise, had felt this way.
But she thought it was some sort of lung problem and paid no more attention to it.
It was only when she had routine tests before minor toe surgery that she discovered she had a blockage in one of the arteries of her heart.
"The doctor told me that I could have had a heart attack any time.
It was only by the grace of God that I happened to get it checked," she said.
