West Dundee annexation fight in court [ ] Decision due Feb. 25: Foes say steps required by law not followed on several fronts zB1 By Gloria Carr STAFF WRITER
GENEVA -- A secret deal that gave the Kane County Forest Preserve District ownership of some land near West Dundee is illegal, which means that village's annexation of the adjacent Galvin property also is illegal, an attorney argued Friday.
The Schweitzer property isn't forest preserve land, attorney Michael Roth contended during closing arguments in a civil trial pitting development foes against the village of West Dundee and Pulte Homes.
Sixteenth Circuit Judge Patrick Dixon continued the case until Feb. 25 for a decision.
