Hampshire voters reject township, park district tax hike requests zB1 By Nick Petersen STAFF WROTER Hampshire residents were in no mood for property tax hikes Tuesday.

Voters turned down a request for a township general fund tax hike by a 2-to-1 margin.

Unofficial vote totals were 677 against the tax hike and 327 for it.

The township road fund tax hike met a similar fate, but by a smaller margin, with 605 voting against it and 400 for it.

The Hampshire Park District's tax hike request to pay for a new community center was defeated 693 to 316, according to unofficial results.
