The wrong guy won.
It is a sad day for America.
If you don't know what we're talking about, then you need to get with the program, culturally speaking.
Indeed, the megahit television show Survivor normally would be beneath commentary on an editorial page -- we're highbrow types, you know -- except that 51 million other Americans apparently disagree and have forced our hand.
That's the number of folks who tuned in to CBS Wednesday to watch 39-year-old openly gay nudist and conniving corporate trainer, Richard Hatch, scheme and manipulate his way to the grand prize -- $1 million as the last standing survivor.
He beat out 14 other far more likable castaways and one other really nasty one ...
