Sugar Busters helps
Hampshire's Michele Metz cut out all white flour, corn and refined sugar for a month.
She lost five pounds.
"It did seem to work, but very slowly," she said.
"I'm not really happy about it," she said.
"But nothing else had worked, either."
Metz needed to lose about 30 pounds.
Her doctor told her to exercise vigorously and eat relatively well, but she couldn't seem to lose the weight.
She decided to follow the Sugar Busters diet.
According to the best-selling book, she could eat fruits but no bananas or raisins because they metabolize too slowly.
She also cut out potatoes and carrots and switched to whole wheat bread and brown rice.
