ELGIN -- From buying a headstone for the grave of Brittany Martinez to simply giving money to her family, residents have several choices when donating cash in the 11-year-old's memory. At least four memorial accounts have been created to help the family of the child who disappeared May 8 from in front of her Elgin home.

Brittany's body was found nine days later in the South Branch of the Kishwaukee River in rural McHenry County.

Donating to one of the memorial funds can be as easy as dropping some change in a jar at a fast-food restaurant or handing over a few bucks at a nearby bank.
