EAST DUNDEE -- After the recent closing of an automotive parts store in the River Valley Square shopping center, optimism continues to exist for the revitalization of the Illinois 25 corridor. Super Trak Auto, a division Trak Auto, closed its stores in East Dundee and Elgin on Sunday after a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing earlier this month.

Trak Auto has 68 other locations in Illinois, including stores in Aurora, Crystal Lake, Hanover Park and McHenry.

Those stores will stay open until the end of the year, said Don Dorwaldt, acting manager of the East Dundee location.

"I came in, and they said they're closing down," said Dorwaldt, an Elgin resident.
