Article: Schock OK after asthma attack

ELGIN -- Mayor Ed Schock will not be at his customary seat at tonight's city council meeting because of his hospitalization after an asthma attack Sunday evening. Schock was listed in good condition Tuesday at Sherman Hospital, a spokeswoman said.

No further details were released from the hospital.

His family had no specific comment about his medical condition.

However, his wife, Karen, praised Elgin Fire Department personnel and thanked Sherman Hospital's staff for their assistance.
