Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. got off easy. His opponent this primary, a truck driver, dropped out of the race.

Too bad.

For a few months there, the congressman found out what it was like to run against the name Jesse Jackson.

As you know, the name of the congressman's former opponent in the Democratic primary was also Jesse Jackson.

And the congressman was none too happy about anyone but himself using the name Jesse Jackson to get votes.

The congressman called the truck driver a fraud, a tool, a trick to get people to vote for him based solely on the name.

And the congressman was right, the truck driver certainly was a ploy.

But has anyone benefitted more from the name Jesse Jackson ...
