Article: Cancer Treatment Center marks expansion June 28

ZION -- Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Midwestern Regional Medical Center will celebrate the opening of its three-story building expansion during an 11 a.m. ceremony on June 28. The $5 million expansion adds nearly 30,000 square feet to the more than 125,000-square-foot 95-bed hospital.

The addition more than doubles the hospital's out-patient cancer treatment capacity.

The building project also doubles the number of consultation rooms for complementary therapies such as nutrition, naturopathy, psychoneuroimmunology and spiritual care, which are staples of the patient-empowerment approach CTCA uses in cancer treatment.
