Article: Election Commission checks into Elks Club

AURORA -- The Aurora Election Commission has moved into its new home, though no promise of permanence came with the change of address. The city has other plans for the former Elks Club building it purchased three years ago.

Officials say the structure eventually will be used as a multi-agency campus with the Aurora Economic Development Commission, the Aurora Area Convention and Tourism Bureau, the Greater Aurora Chamber of Commerce, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the African-American Chamber of Commerce all sharing space with the Election Commission.

For now, election officials have the run of the first floor of 77 S. Stolp Ave. The agency moved to its new location this week.
