Article: N. Aurora considering 10 sites for town center

NORTH AURORA -- Nearly a year after plans for the project were brought to light, the village continues to work on a proposed town center to house village staff and police. Village Manager Rob Nelis said there's no concrete deadline for the town center, but the village needed the new facility "yesterday."

The town center planning process has changed significantly over the past year, with the committee initially discussing the project now broken in three. Building, land-acquisition and finance committees have all taken on specific tasks for the $6 million to $12 million project.

"Detail work has to be done before it's time for a policy decision," Nelis said.
