Success means different things to different people, but to Eric Ulmer, it meant only one thing: to have the people you love, love and respect you in return. When he thought he lost those two things, he thought he lost life's meaning.
It was a hard lesson for him to learn. Realizing that some people never learn it, Ulmer was determined to turn his life around and he did. Perhaps that is why his sudden death was such a shock to those his family and friends.
