Ewan McGregor and Renee Zellweger are surprised to find themselves falling in love in "Down With Love."

I usually avoid seeing romantic comedies, since almost all of them are formulaic, predictable and ultimately forgettable. They involve characters we don't care about and a sappy story line that, with a few touches, could easily be the plot for another movie of the same genre. But as I saw the trailer for "Down With Love," I knew this movie would be different. How right I was! No doubt this movie will be overlooked, since its competition is the widely anticipated "The Matrix Reloaded," and that's a shame.
