Article: Truck traffic worries Channahon residents

CHANNAHON -- Residents and trustees have noticed an increase in the volume of truck traffic on a curvy rural section of Cemetery and Hansel roads lately that has them concerned about the safety of drivers on the stretch. Of particular concern is the area between McLinden and Ridge roads where a steep grade slopes down into a curve that Mayor Joe Cook said is difficult to navigate -- even without traffic.

Cook said the area could become dangerous when school buses and fall visitors to the Dollinger pumpkin farm mix with heavy truck traffic.
