JOLIET -- The Joliet JackHammers and Lincoln Saltdogs have completed a trade from June 29 of this year.
The original deal featured veteran shortstop Eddy De Los Santos traded from the JackHammers to the Saltdogs for right-handed starting pitcher Mike Zipser and a player to be named later. That "player to be named" is De Los Santos. The transaction is the first player move this off-season for theJackHammers.
De Los Santos began the 2003 season with the JackHammers. In 23 games, he batted .250 (19-for-76) with no home runs, 2 triples, 2 stolen bases, 3 runs scored, 4 doubles and 5 RBIs. Including his playing time this season with the Saltdogs, De Los Santos batted .268 (72-for-269) with a ...
