Article: Committee again stalls new attorney; Budget question: County might put position into next year's budget

GENEVA -- The Kane County Board's Executive Committee again has stalled hiring a new attorney for the state's attorney's office. Members of the committee this week agreed that county budget officials need to meet with state's attorney officials to figure out just how much that office will be over budget by the end of 2003. Questions about the state's attorney's budget have led the county board to reject plans to add one or two new attorneys during the past year.
