The pass-and-catch duo of Wally Cirafesi and Bart Banach and three Morton mishaps on punts on a rainy Friday night combined to propel Munster to a 35-7 victory. Banach caught three touchdown passes from Cirafesi, and the Mustangs (6-0, 4-0 LAC Black) turned two misconnections by the Governors (2-4, 0-4) on punt snaps and a botched return into three scores.

With the wet ball -- the start of the game also was delayed 10 minutes because of lightning -- a slightly high snap slipped through the hands of punter Greg McGing, giving the Mustangs the ball at the Governors' 19 with 5:31 left in the first quarter.
