Dear Anne and Nan:
I am interested in making a hook rug (not latch hook). I purchased a book of instructions, but the only kits I can find are more than $100. I hope you know of a source from which I can purchase a beginner's kit that's not quite so expensive. So many craft places have starter or beginner kits for other crafts, but hook-rug kits do not seem to be available. I hope it is not becoming a fading art. As a youngster, I remember a neighbor who made some very beautiful throw rugs, and I have always wanted to learn how to do it. -- Mrs. Helen Kirk, Glenside, Pa.
