Outfielder Aaron Rowand is keeping his bags packed, but two trips to the big leagues in less than a month have worked wonders for his confidence.
Pencil him in as the Sox center fielder of the future, which could be advanced given Chris Singleton's prolonged skid.
Part of a burgeoning youth movement on the south side, the 23-year-old rookie is batting .333 with eight runs in his last eight games.
General manager Kenny Williams is pleased with Rowand's approach.
"I like the way Aaron goes about his pre-game preparation and the energy he brings to the table during the game,'' he said Tuesday.
