When Andrean Coach Jeff Karras first saw Brett Goins as a freshman, he recognized the quarterback was a Division I prospect even at that early age.
Now a junior in his second season as the 59ers' starting quarterback, Goins has fulfilled that promise.
He leads the area with 189 passing yards per game, which is 14th in the state and tops in Class 3A. In nine games, Goins has completed 112-of-196 passes for 1,701 yards, 20 touchdowns and just four interceptions.
