The future of Hobart Township/Lake Ridge Community Service Inc. appeared bleak Tuesday following a Lake Superior Court ruling.
Judge James Richards denied HT/LR's request for an injunction to force the LCEOC to continue to fund its payroll.
"Where this puts us, I don't know," said Hammond attorney Harold Abrahamson, representing HT/LR. "What we sought was a preliminary injunction to keep us going to resolve our controversy with LCEOC or seek funding."
LCEOC told HT/LR in August that it no longer would fund its bi-weekly payroll of about $5,000.
